Continuing the attack…
The Rookie knows that Ulysses S. Grant won a war by outnumbering and wearing down his opponent, but the currency with his picture on it has to call for reinforcements quickly when facing formula and diapers. :-)
Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Pumpkin!
The Rookie and grandchildren often watch music videos… but this last time grandchild says “I want to make a movie.” And then, grandchild makes up his own song and sings it while The Rookie films it. And then, it goes viral :-)
Let it go…
The Rookie used to sit on the front row of the church with children all the time, but it’s different with grandchildren… they wiggle more, but you care less :-)
What about both?
A word problem for The Rookie… If a #1 trip gets 1 pull from the potty candy jar, and a #2 trip gets 2 pulls from the potty candy jar, what if you have to go #1 and #2? :-)

Tip from The Rookie: When keeping grandchildren for supper, remind Granny to ask if they want peanut butter sandwiches instead of a hamburger before driving thru… it’s a little depressing to bring in supper and immediately get the thumbs down. :-)
Extra set of brains…
Tip from The Rookie: If the grandchild asks why you have a foam brain at the house (a squeeze toy from some company), don’t tell him it’s to feed the zombies unless you want to see how wide his eyes will open. :-)

Tip from The Rookie: Nothing gets a grandchild’s output going like some good potty candy :-)
Whispering only…
Tip from The Rookie: Hollering while watching football games on TV will scare every grandbaby you have. Try to remember that. It’s worse when the older grandchildren remind you after the crying starts, “You can’t holler or you will scare the baby.” :-)
Careful when channel-surfing…
Tip from The Rookie: When you are holding baby grandchild and surfing thru the channels, don’t always stop to watch people riding Jetskis… suddenly you realize you’re on the country music channel and your grandbaby is imprinting on that music… Aaugh!! :-)
Still figuring it out…
When grandchild suggested an activity that initially sounded like a possibilty to The Rookie, but was instantly nixed by Granny, The Rookie remembered (again) that he is still figuring it all out :-)
