The Rookie was remembering his Grandmother last night as we played her deluxe edition Monopoly game… and not just because you could still smell the cigarette smoke :-)

The Rookie had seen pictures of the aftermath of the “Vaseline Incident” and the “Cookie Incident” featuring Grandson #3, but never thought it would happen here… until the “Blank CD Incident”. Gonna be some skips in the choir music for awhile
The coach is running?
The Rookie normally sees the runner training and the coach riding, but apparently not with grandchildren and tricycles. :-)

The Rookie observed that the talking to girls when you are not in the game starts at 5-6 year old soccer. :-)

Mom told The Rookie that televised poker is boring and televised “Hi-Ho Cherry-O” would be much better… more action, more trash talk :-)
Keep it to yourself…
Tip from The Rookie: Keep the stories about what stupid things you did when you were young to yourself! The older grandchildren are about the same age as the children were when The Rookie took the children to Krystal and told them that as a teenager, he used to buy an extra hamburger at Krystal to throw. Later, after The Rookie finished getting Aunt Gigi’s meal fixed, The Rookie noticed that Mom had chunked one of her pickles up on the window where it stuck :-)
Pop, not country…
Grandchild saw this clip one of The Rookie‘s friends posted on FB and then wanted to see more of the memes. According to Mom, this is now his (first) favorite song since he hears it in her car on the country music station. For the record, since Taylor Swift declared this as a Pop song, The Rookie has not pointed grandchild in the country music direction. :-)
Don’t wait for a count…
Tip from The Rookie: When the first raindrops start, don’t agree to go back inside when 100 raindrops fall when grandchild can only count to 20. :-)
Already 40?
The Rookie watched the first episode of Saturday Night Live when it originally aired live… which means this anniversary year makes The Rookie feel old. :-)
