What will the next-gen think?

Today, The Rookie’s grandmother would be 102. She always told us she was 102 years old, and I guess she was right because I have many fond memories of her and our time together. In this picture with Grandmother, G-Aunt Susan and I are about the same age as the grandchildren are now. What will the grandchildren remember about The Rookie in 40 or 50 years?

Many fond memories of your Grandmother… she taught us many card games. Was that our first game of poker?

It was for me… along with blackjack, gin rummy, bridge, canasta, Rook, etc. Also, no matter who I play cards with, I’m usually the best shuffler :-)

I remember when your Grandmother purchased the (battery powered?) automatic card shuffler… very cool! I think she started us down the road with our love for gadgets and new technologies. :-)
