Dusting off the putter…

The five-year-old grandson asked to play golf with The Rookie last night (!!!) so we went up to the attic to get the putters and a sleeve each, found the putting machine and putted for awhile. The Rookie had to enforce a rule that the club could not be raised over your head in the house, but otherwise grandson had a lot of fun.

The unexpected thing was that before every putt he would say “Steady… concentrated… moments” and then putt. That’s actually a pretty good shot routine, but where in the world does this come from? :-)

Did he say check, check, check, on a bladed wedge too?

No wedges in the house… and the proper term is bite… Bite… BITE! :-)
